April Madness

Hi y’all,

I hope everyone’s April celebrations have been fun and fulfilling!! I can’t believe the month is half over. … Good grief!!

Much thanks to E, for keeping everyone up dated on my recent travels and shoots. Everything went better than expected. LA family time was GREAT and LV was stimulating to say the least. I can’t believe I’ve been home a week already!! Last Saturday was filled with food prep, decorating, and coloring Easter eggs.  We had 22 people over and held our annual Easter egg hunt for the lil’ ones, neighborhood kids included!!

Monday, we (my sister and a group of girlfriends)  went to the Rockies home opener game. It’s been our tradition since I moved back to Denver.  The day started at 10:30am with Mimosas and breakfast. Then we caught a cab to the stadium. … The weather was absolutely beautiful!!! Unfortunately we lost the game, but we kept the party  going until 11:00pm. We did take pics, but  I can’t share them here. .. SORRY!!  As you can imagine Tues was a recovery day!!!

The rest of the week has been filled with tracking down and organizing inventory for the Shayla.com store, (I can’t believe how much stuff I’ve collected over the years!!), taxes, and doctor appts.  (Physical, mammogram, Pap, and dentist. … Vinnie went to the vet Fri for his yearly, and Monday we have a follow-up with Vinnie’s eye specialist. (His eye is still a bit foggy.)  So far we have a clean bill of health!!!

I hope all of you are healthy and happy!!!

Time to rest up for next week, it’s going to be a duzzie (sp?) !!!!

A friend sent this to me. Definitely a good one. …

October Update

Hi Everyone!

I’ve been really busy, but wanted to keep you all informed. It’s difficult for me to keep up with my Message Board on my site, and still find time to write on my Blog. But I love my fans, so I’ll give you a Reader’s Digest version of some of the things we’ve been talking about on my Message Board.

I had a great time visiting with friends in Delaware. There wasn’t much of an orgy but def some couples and singles enjoying the free-spirited party. Was a bit different than usual, but tons of fun and lots of eye candy!! I took some pics and will try to post a G-Rated one on my Blog — as soon as I can get the pics to my webmaster.

We’ve been thinking about our mortality. We talked about my first photo shoot, which was shot by the late Clive McLean (in his back yard), makeup by his wife Erica McLean. Clive wanted me a bit more tan for this shoot, so while he built the set I sat in the sun. The beginning of the notorious tan lines. This is one of the few shoots I did without boobs.

Unfortunately, the sun isn’t good for you, so I had to have had a couple of “bad” spots taken off a few months ago. That’s why I no longer have my tan lines! I kind of miss them, but not worth the long term effects.

Is it that we’re getting older, or are people getting sicker? It seems like there is a lot of loss and sickness. This conversation and ? has come up quite a bit lately.

Within the last 2 wks my BFF’s mom has been diagnosed with a very very rare cancer, and another friend’s cousin died of brain cancer.

Now I really understand, “Live life to the fullest, ’cause you never know if there’s going to be a tomorrow.” I try to do that every day!

On a lighter note, we had a great chat about music. I love Evanescence! I used to dance to “Bring Me Back to Life”. I think that was the name of it. There was always water and bubbles involved, and if the club allowed it — dildos! We love a happy ending!!!

Stay healthy and happy!

My Aunt

Welp, here’s another post that didn’t get up in a timely manner. … My bad!!! My web peeps were kind enough to post the last update so ya all didn’t think I completely fell off the face of the earth.  I’m back and doing GREAT!!  My Aunt is pretty much self-sufficient now and is doing absolutely fabulous!!!  Only 2 more weeks of  infusions (IV antibiotics to finish off the MRSA infection).  So we’re pretty much back to normal!!!

I want to thank all of you for your support over the past couple of months. … It means a lot!!

My Aunt is doing GREAT now.  She has been moved to the Physical Therapy floor and is improving each day!!!  She is so determined  — positive and strong.for  I know she is on the road to recovery.  She’s my hero and best friend!!!!

One of the reasons I moved back to Colorado was for her and my Mom. They aren’t getting any younger, and based on some circumstances it was time.  My Aunt has lived a very full life. She has been a hippie hangin’ in SF and hitchhiking across the US,  an art teacher and photographer, a skier, and a rancher among other things. She even built (with some help) her dream house in the Rocky Mountains.  She always said she lived her life with “Reckless abandon”.  At times she may have been a bit reckless, but boy does she have a lot of great stories to tell!!

She has always been there, with an open heart and mind!!! I’m glad I can be there for her when she needs me!

July Update

Hi All!

I had a great time with my fam. on my vacation! It went WAY too fast! I caught a few rays, but not intentionally and spf was always applied. … Wish I had my own personal cream boy!!

I had a second trip to SF and Chicago, 2 of my fav cities!! Looks like I’ll be in LV next month to shoot for Taylor St Claire (taylormadeclips.com) which I will get for Shayla.com. And hopefully I’ll be going to Florida. I’m sure we’ll be shooting some stuff there, also!

On my Message Board, we talked about a Japanese Anime movie I did called Angels In The Court.  I had totally forgotten I did this!! I was kinda playing around with voice-overs and this particular project came to my attention. It was soooo much fun voicing an animated character and having the freedom to take it over the top.

One of our most popular topics this month was the web site AmIAnnoying.com where people can tell perfect strangers that they find them annoying. Apparently some folks think I am, but my wonderful fans have been voting otherwise! As far as I’m concerned this is absolutely ridiculous and fixed. Again thanks to everyone for voting for me, but don’t waste your time on this. … There are soooo many more important things to do than waste our time on this BS. They have Freedom of Speech, we have Freedom of Choice, and I choose to ignore these jerks!! Now the Wiki stuff and all of the other supposed fact sites are a whole other ball game!!!

This career ended up being a book of my life and not just the chapter I thought it would be. All and all I have to say it’s turned out to be one hell of a book!!! Why stop at just a chapter? It’s been too much fun!!
